Lana meets the El brothers in a bar.

Lana met the El brothers when they visited the bar she worked at in Smallville in 2005. After Tal paid for drinks for the patrons to celebrate the news that he would soon be an uncle, Lana went over to ensure he paid for it. She recognized him as "The World's Most Eligible Bachelor", much to his dismay; the magazines had been hyping up Tal, when all he wanted was to meet the right woman. Intrigued, Lana gave a sultry hint that Tal just hadn't looked in Smallville yet; quickly making Tal smitten with her.

Even though Tal thought Lana was out of his league, the two ended up hitting it off and began dating; noted by Kal to be the most happy couple in the world. They later wed in 2006, with Kal as the best man for their wedding; even having the ceremony at Kal's farm.[2] Despite a loving marriage, Lana and Tal never had children of their own.

In late 2021, Lana and Tal were invited by Jonathan-El to meet with Ally Allston and they agreed, hoping to mediate between Jon and his parents. However, they decided that Ally's message made sense and they also became Ally's followers. Lana somehow gained Kryptonian powers and started wearing a protective suit bearing the symbol of the House of Rho. Lana and Jon also broke into the DOD and stole Project 4377's X-Kryptonite weapons from the U.S. Army that could harm Kal-El. Eventually, they took control of the U.S. government, and Ally made her headquarters at the DOD.[2] When Kal-El attacked the DOD to steal Ally's pendant (an ancient artifact that was capable of granting the user godhood if paired with its other half), Lana tried to stop him, but he succeeded and went to Earth-TUD25 to destroy it.[3]

Months later, Lana, Ally, Jon, and Mitch Anderson waited in the Shuster Mines for Ally's Earth-TUD25 counterpart to arrive, but only Anderson's counterpart arrived. Lana thought it was a trick and tried to attack him, but he knocked her out. So Ally ordered Jon to kill Anderson and when he did, Anderson's counterpart ran off with the pendants. Eventually, Ally's counterpart managed to get through the portal and they tracked Anderson to the El Farm in Smallville, where Superman and Kal-El's family had taken refuge. Lana and Tal-Rho fought and defeated Superman, taking the pendants. They gave them to the Allys, who started to merge. They then gave Jon the pendant and told him to cross over and merge with his other self. Hearing this, Tal-Rho turned on Lana and let Superman go.[2]

In the other world, Jon kidnapped her counterpart and used the pendant to communicate with her through the dimensional rift. He told Lana to go through and she did, arriving at the otherworldly Shuster Mines. John Irons and Natalie Lane Irons were also in the mines and Lana attacked them even though she was weakened by X-Kryptonite. John tried to shoot her with a red sun weapon, but it only healed her wounds and made her stronger. As she was about to kill him, Natalie stabbed her in the chest with an X-Kryptonite shard, and Lana fled, promising that she would take revenge on them.[4]

Despite the pendant being destroyed, Ally told Lana that she could still fuse the worlds if she amassed enough power and drained Tal-Rho's life force to become more powerful.[1] After Ally returned from Earth-TUD25, she ordered Lana to cross over and kill Superman as she tried to merge the two worlds.[5] Lana then broke into Smallville High School and along with Jonathan-El, fought Jordan Kent, initially taking the upper hand and calling him pathetic. However, when Natalie Lane Irons arrived at the scene, she used the kinetic hammer on Lana, defeating her and Jonathan in the process. Lana and Jonathan were then taken into custody at the D.O.D. by the U.S. Army.[6]
