Pollux (died April 13, 1991) was a clone of Barry Allen.

Biography

Pollux was created as a test subject for a super-soldier. He later escaped the lab after his mistreatment by some of the scientists there. He later learned who he was and returned and killed his former creators. In the end he took a bullet for the Flash and died of his injuries.^[1]

Powers

• Speed Force connection/Meta-human physiology: As a clone of Barry Allen, Pollux has all of his powers and physical attributes.^[1]
  • Superhuman speed: Pollux possessed the powers of incredible speed and was able to go equal in speed to The Flash twice.^[1]
  • Superhuman reflexes: Pollux has been shown to have great reflexes as he was able to catch a bullet fired at him mid-air and throw it back at the person who shot him, While fighting The Flash Pollux was easily able to dodge and counter several of his attacks, he was also able to jump to a bullet shot at The Flash in mid-air sacrificing himself in the process.^[1]
  • Superhuman mental process: According to Jason Brassell Pollux coud already learn at 100 times the speed of his predecessors and went from making gurgling noises to understanding simple words and concepts in an hour this being a result of his growth hormones and his speeded up metabolism, he learned to stack several blocks easily after failing at it terribly on his first try, he could also read the equivalent of a book per minute and Jason Brassell imagined he would have a college education in a couple hours. ^[1]
  • Aerokinesis: After running in circles around a roundabout he was able to cause great whirlwinds launching a hot dog stand's umbrella flying angering the man running it and left two people picknicking at the park in disstress while some of their items flew away.^[1]
  • Superhuman stamina: Pollux seems to not tire out after using his speed for extended periods as he was able to run around a roundabout for several minutes while using his super-speed and could make several attacks and dodges against The Flash at extreme speeds without tiring^[1]
  • Superhuman durability: Pollux was able to endure several high speed punches from the flash during his fight with him.^[1]

• Pollux's name comes from Castor and Pollux, the Gemini twins from Greek mythology.
• Pollux has some similarities to Savitar from Earth-1.
  • Both use mythological names; Pollux comes from Greek mythology while Savitar comes from Vedic mythology.
  • Both are alternate versions of Barry; Pollux is a clone, while Savitar is a time remnant.
  • Both wear suits with blue. Pollux's suit is a blue version of Barry's suit while Savitar's armor uses light blue as lightning of his armor.
  • Both die after getting shot. Pollux died to save Barry, but Savitar was killed by Iris West to save Barry from him.
