The Guardians are a group of seven aliens devoted to protecting the universe and all of its knowledge.
History
Sometime ago, seven aliens, including Ganthet, became Guardians of the universe, as they possessed knowledge of all realities. They eventually settled on Oa, where they kept the Book of Oa and allied themselves with the Green Lantern Corps.
Six of the Guardians were later present at Oa during the Anti-Monitor Crisis when Felicity Smoak, hoping to uncover the identities of the Paragons and resurrect Oliver Queen, arrived from Earth-85 with Nyssa al Ghul and The Ray to seek the Book of Oa. The Guardians, aware of this, denied her request; although they possessed the knowledge she needed, they explained that the book was not meant for mortal eyes and were doing this for the sake of her sanity. Despite Felicity's pleading, the Guardians chose to double down on their decision until the arrival of Ganthet, who voted in favor of helping her.
Just then, an army of shadow demons attacked the planet at the behest of the Anti-Monitor, forcing the Guardians to call upon the Green Lantern Corps for reinforcements as Ganthet led Felicity to the location of the Book of Oa. The Green Lantern Corps were able to defeat the shadow demons while Felicity delved into the book, nearly losing herself if not for the timely aid of Ganthet. After Felicity, Nyssa and The Ray were later returned to the Waverider by Ganthet.[1]
