Blue stars are extremely powerful, giant stars that emit huge amounts of energy, more energy than a yellow star. Unlike a yellow sun, blue suns does not gift a Kryptonian or Daxamite with powers. Blue star systems are uninhabitable by any duo-gender species as the radiation it emits is deadly to males. As no species seen is mono-gender, blue star systems may be uninhabited, period.

AZ336XB12: This blue star is where Fort Rozz ended up when Supergirl launched it into space. The radiation from the star killed all the men still on board the ship. The star was visited by Supergirl, Saturn Girl, Psi and Livewire to get information from a prisoner on Fort Rozz about Reign, before the prison was incinerated by the blue sun AZ336XB12.[1]
