Spiders are an animal native to a number of universes. They are presumably notable for their ability to shoot webs and stick to surfaces, such that a fictional superhero in Earth-1, was named Spider-Man and given these powers.^[1]

History

Two spiders were affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion, being mutated by the emitted particles and becoming Meta spiders. Scientifically, they are Agriope aurantia. They kidnapped five maintenance workers before The Flash discovered them, along with the maintenance workers who were strung up in the spider webs. They attacked The Flash, stringing him up, but he quickly vibrated through the spider web, capturing the two spiders.^[2] They proceeded to lock them up in The Pipeline.^[3]
