The meta-human Task Force was a branch of the CCPD that combatted the criminal meta-humans of Central City with the help of Team Flash.

History

Foundation

At some point in time, the meta-human Task Force was created and, eventually, Joe West was appointed leadership over this task force.^[1]

Combating criminal meta-humans

During Amunet Black and Goldface's gang war, Captain Joe West asked Barry Allen if he should roll out his special meta-human Task Force to stop them, which Barry advised against doing.^[1]

After Frida Novikov killed Maria Volkova, Captain West sent out the meta-human Task Force for back-up in order to protect any potential informant she might be targeting. However, as they were leaving the precinct, the Task Force got frozen in time by Novikov, who tried to attack Captain West but eventually got stopped by the Flash and Kid Flash.^[2]

The Task Force also helped Barry and Captain West in apprehending Sunshine as they surrounded her, wearing night-vision goggles, in the CCPD crime lab where Barry filtered out all light so she couldn't use her powers against them.^[3]

While Kristen Kramer was getting a warrant for Frost's arrest, Captain West put the Task Force on alert. Together with Kramer, the Task Force apprehended Caitlin Snow. After Captain West convinced Kramer that Caitlin isn't the same person as Frost, she gathered the Task Force yet again and arrested Frost.^[4]

Disbanded

Captain Kramer decided to disband the Meta-human Task Force after realising that the Task Force was unfairly targeting marginalized sections of the populace.^[5]

• So far, on Earth-Prime the task force has only been mentioned as the meta-human Task Force instead of the Anti-Meta-human Task Force like on Earth-1.
