Mission to end all superheroes

Recruiting individuals in his crusade

Magog appeared at Arkham Asylum and offered inmate Tanner Freyr that they team up to stop false heroes like Batwoman. Tanner accepted and Magog opened a portal for him to pass through.[3]

Magog also recruited Kal-El after he chased John Henry Irons through space before Earth-TUD22 was completely destroyed by the anti-matter wave, stating that Kal-El will serve his needs nicely.[4]

Magog later went to Earth-2 through a portal, where he met The Needle and offered him a partnership. He stated that the heroes of his world, such as the Flash, were a blight to society, and he wished to end their existences. The Needle declines the invitation and when Magog gets angry, The Needle throws some of his needles, which are to no avail.

Magog insists on the proposal and reveals that coming from the future, he would get eternal life, and says he imagines a beautiful world without heroes. The Needle says none of this matters because he doesn't want to be evil anymore. Finally, the villain lets him go, because Magog just needed a sample of his needles so he could copy his abilities.[2]
