Gaul was a region in Europe as of 49 BC, encompassing the province of Cisalpine Gaul.
History
At some point prior to 49 BC, the Gallic Wars occurred and eventually, the Romans led by Julius Caesar conquered the region of Gaul.
In 49 BC, Caesar set up a camp in Cisalpine Gaul to prepare for his march on the Rubicon. After Mick Rory found an anachronistic Julius Caesar in Aruba, 2017, the Legends returned him to Cisalpine Gaul, 49 BC. Unbeknownst to Nate Heywood, Caesar stole his Rise of Rome book, which contained future knowledge on Rome's history. The Time Bureau and the Legends managed to retrieve the book and erased Caesar's and his legion's memory of the incident.[1]
