A series of Direct Energy Guns, or DEGs were created by Monovista International as police weapons.

Lauren Caruso helped to create the Direct Energy Gun (DEG) for the Freeland Police Department.^[1]

Notes

• It is unknown if these energy guns have any relation to the A.S.A.'s lightning guns, besides their obviously similar functions of firing out energy blast discharges;^[2] Those weapons were used to frame Black Lightning with a distinctive lightning pattern instead, to futilely mimic his powers.
